Oh England how I love thee Print E-mail

I'm going to pretend I didn't watch Saturday's game against England, or Kevin Pietersen getting one over Dale Steyn, or the multitude of no-balls from Morne Morkel, or the generally shoddy crap dished up by South Africa.

What's done is done. Happy thoughts.

South Africa's fate is no longer in their hands - much like the ball that slipped through JP Duminy's cold, dead ones at deep midwicket. We have to beat Pakistan today then hope that England beat New Zealand in the second game.

I'm willing to bet that most Kiwis would take great pleasure in a double-strike: a win over Blighty and a ticket back home to the Republic for Biff and Friends.

It's a clear and simple goal for New Zealand: if they win, they make the semis. If they lose, they go home.

Pakistan can also still go through if they beat South Africa and if England beat New Zealand, so essentially South Africa, New Zealand and Pakistan are playing for a place in the semifinals today.

Just another manic Monday.

If South Africa loses today then the following is null and void: my new favourite team in all the world is England.

Kaaayps..... Collyyyy..... Broadyyyy.....

It was a peculiar, provocative yet strangely erotic move from Smith and it paid handsome dividends. Not just in my trousers neither.
