The final IPL squads for the third season have been announced, with the usual blend of foreign players and stars of the Indian domestic circuit.

A whole bunch of form ICL players have been included this year, driving up the percentage of local players. None of them will be known by many outside India.

The biggest omission is that of Rajasthan star Ravindra Jadeja, whom Shane Warne famously nicknamed "Rock Star". Warnie firmly believes in the guy and so do I - he was instrumental in us winning the first IPL title.

He's cooked his goose, though - he was caught trying to work two sides of a contract and was given a one-year ban. Although details are sketchy, it seems he was holding out on signing for Rajasthan because he was trying to get the BBCI to sign him.

Lalit Modi referred to it as "blackmail".

These are the squads for the 2010 IPL:

Kieswetter is the man of the moment - the KP of his time - whilst KP himself is still the KP of his current, past and future time. It's complicated with KP. Always.
